We explore with him the challenges of this inspiring journey and how it has shaped his vision for sustainable urban design and ecological architecture. Amine also discusses the impact of modernization policies in Tunisia, such as the shack removal programs of the 1960s, on rural communities. He highlights how these policies disrupted the deep-rooted connections between people and their land, leading to the collapse of traditional social and economic systems and prompting many to migrate to cities in search of lost economic opportunities.
